I’m about to start an exciting series of wedding events, starting with the wedding shower, which is beginning of $$ shopping $$ for party dresses!
While I love to dress up for these occasions, I don’t always want to pay full retail. As a result, I check Eivey for party dresses, which means I can stretch my dollars to cover shoes, clutch & accessories.
Here are outfit inspirations for Wedding Showers, Bachelorette Parties, Rehearsal Dinners and the big day!
The Wedding Shower
My inspiration for wedding shower outfits is always high tea. My day to day wardrobe is full of pretty simple neutrals, so for me it is a nice break to dress in fresh colours with soft or ethereal textures. My goals is to pull together a party dress look that works with Prosecco and canapes!
No limits on Bachelorette outfits, these are just a few of my favourite dresses that will sparkle in the night life. I think the key is to go out in something that makes you feel confident. I have been to a few bachelorettes where there is a colour theme – blush, pink or white. It makes for beautiful group photos!
The Rehearsal Dinner
Depending on the location I tend to lean towards a two piece outfit. It usually is a beautiful yet simple dinner, therefore I like to save the “outfit” for the next day. Additionally, there may be last minute running around the bride needs help with, something I prefer to not do in a dress!
It’s rare that I find someone who loves going to wedding as much as I do. The planning, anticipation and finally the celebration of LUV. I know, pretty cheesy. And the celebration saves the best for last, the dancing! I love to dance the night away, a dress that ‘swooshes’ is always a bonus.
